Is it necessary to have a 7.1 surround gaming headset or a simple 2.0 stereo is enough to kick their azzez?

CoD: BO4 is effin expensive!!!!!!
I have found that over the last couple of years, PC games have crept up in price to be closer to console prices. Hence, less Day One purchases for me!

We have only 2 ears to pick up the sound, and so while criticised a lot there is common sense behind virtual surround sound.
In my opinion spending on better 2.0 and using software for virtual 7.1 is better.

It really depends on personal preference and how good your ears are lol. Personally I really don't notice that much of a difference on Headphones between 7.1 and regular stereo but that just me. The other consideration is what your budget is for a headset?

That depends if you are talking Virtual 7.1 or True 7.1
