I have zero experience working on furniture so hopefully someone here can #help
My neighbours bought a new dining table do they gave me their old one.
It is solid teak and originally whitewashed but had that removed so now it is bare wood.
I don’t want to use an ugly plastic tablecloth but I need to seal this wood so any spills or anything do not ruin it.
What is the best thing to treat it with without changing the look of the wood?

Sorry for the delay. Ordinary linseed oil would work very well but will darken the wood. You can also buy on Amazon cutting board oil which is synthetic but safe. I use the latter for the wooden bench in kitchen
