I remember learning this on the TRS lol, then made the jump to doing it on PCDOS Basic First game I ever made was a one I spent a week typing then saving to cassette, loading it over and over, debugging line by line, then playing with my uncle. It was a racing game with "Pa Cautious", (my slow driving pop), "Na Leadfoot" (Nana) and "Speedy Von Mark", (My uncle). 3 coloured squares racing around a grey racetrack with random pitstops, and various random obstacles. Game ran for 3 minutes lol.
Yep, possibly my first PC experience. Somewhere around 8-10 years old maybe, BASIC on a BBC Micro. Made a good impression for me to remember it that fondly.

Oh wow that brings back memories of late nights with mom. Inputing each line on our old Comodore 64. Then saving it on a cassete tape.
