I always thought that there were many countries around the globe that ban games on a daily basis. Why is this one more worthy of news? Just because it's a bigger franchise? Meh.

Slow news day maybe, so they need something to get clicks and ad revenue.
Otherwise they would need to Kuwait for something more interesting to come along.
