My Philips Fidelio X3s only lasted a year before the left driver failed on me   The good news is Philips sent me a warranty refund check. I decided to stay with the open back style since I really enjoyed them for the first time around with the X3s. I will report back with how my Sennheiser HD 599s perform at almost 40% less cost than I originally purchased the X3s
