That. Was. Terrifying!
However, all me nerves were gone after a few minutes as I focused on building the Genesis Holm 300 RGB Gaming Desk live on YouTube as my first ever video for Play3r as well as my first ever YouTube Livestream.
If you missed it or left because of the massive delay before we got started you can catch the replay at

It all seemed to go really well but I'm somewhat biased so please feel free to leave your comments and/or criticisms… See More
either in the YT comments or here and I'll try to make the next one better.
Here's a bit of behind-the-scenes info for the GTribe family:
- In order to get set up I needed to install a video capture card, something I've never tried before so I should really have installed it a few days in advance but, well, I didn't think that far ahead...
- Installing the card was painless, it needed software before it could be used at all but the software download was idiotproof. Grab one small download and then let that software get the drivers and other stuff that the card needed.… See More
It was done in about 5 mins max even though my connection is terribly slow.
- The delay was for 2 reasons - I needed to unbox the card before I could use it which took a lot longer than I expected, and secondly, I couldn't start to set up the extra cameras and audio in OBS until the card was installed and that was the bit that I really struggled with.
- For audio, I needed to be able to head what Dave was saying without the delay of simply opening my own YT stream window... but even that wouldn't help because OBS insisted on taking exclusive control of the earbuds and I spent around 5 hours trying every different combination of settings I could think of to let OBS record the audio from Dave (via Skype) while also recording my headset microphone but to let me listen to Skype directly.
- I eventually managed to get something working where it would let me monitor all of OBS's audio channels (as an all or nothing compromise) but this meant that I was also forced to listen to everything OBS heard me saying on a short delay. That in itself made today a whole lot more challenging.
- The wireless earbuds I used (Creative Outlier Air v2) worked perfectly and even though I wasn't using the correct size silicone cap they were really comfortable. I heard everything and it was crystal clear but when I listened to the playthrough I discovered that they were also great at picking up every knock, bang and crackly of plastic bags or polystyrene as well so at times it can be really hard to hear what I was saying.
I also need to do some research on the mic input settings in OBS to try to improve its ability to filter out my voice from my surroundings.
