Question for anyone who has any insights/thoughts about this:
Is there any speculation that AMD will be moving to DDR4 memory anytime soon?
I ask because I would like to do a motherboard/cpu/memory upgrade and I will almost always choose AMD over Intel for the price per performance. It's been about 3-4 years since I built this computer and would like to upgrade so I can donate components from here to a family member. I don't want to switch to intel just for DDR4, but if I stay with current amd all… See More
I can really do is change to a newer cpu and that really isn't much of an upgrade.
Thanks for reading, looking forward to everyone's thoughts. Maybe Angel Munoz can shed some light on this ;D

Finally got my second GTX 760 installed along with new 1000W PSU and new Samsung 250GB SSD. That should keep future upgrades minimal for awhile
Yes Zen processors requires and new series of motherboards supporting HM2 requires DDR4 RAM

DDR4 will be supported when they release the new ZEN architecture. It's expected beginning of next year, but could be sooner.
