The miracles of Windows updates...
2 nights in a row I had an update scheduled so yea I just let it run and turn off PC after it's done when I'm going to bed.
Turned on my PC, no audio.. nothing muted.
So I checked the startup programs, was my soundblaster X-Fi driver not being laoaded anymore, instead the realtek driver was loaded of my onboard audio which is turned off in the BIOS.
Turned on the loading of the driver during startup, restarted, still no audio.
Had to download the driverpack for my Soundblaster… See More
X-Fi Titanium, an ancient but still really good performing soundcard, install that pack and now i have audio again.
Thank you Micro$oft for making my easy start of the day less easy >:(while I already have been sick since 3 days but I'm doing a little bit better, this is something that ate the little energy I had.
I try to avoid these hassle. When I see a windows update coming in, I do it at night as i am cleaning up. I really hate it when Microsoft messes up with drivers. I wish they would stop that.
