Here's an item that's very difficult to find: A PC case with at least one 5.25" drive bay.
I need a new PC case because, overall, my system runs too warm for my comfort, regularly 90°F+/32°C+ (CPU 120°F+/48°C+), despite diligent cleaning.
CPU: Ryzen 7 1700. GPU: Sapphire Pulse Radeon RX580. Motherboard: MSi X470 Gaming Plus (ATX). RAM: (2) 8GB Corsair Vengeance 2666MHz. (1) PNY CS900 240GB SSD and (2) Toshiba DT01ACA200 2TB HDD. I think that's everything that would create heat.
The CPU has the nice… See More
Spire cooler fan. It does its job well until the rest of the system gets hot. The case has one 120mm intake on the front and one on the back and the fan on the PSU. They oviously aren't enough to keep the temperature down when the components are under load.
Mid-tower is okay, but that's what I have. Full tower is preferred because I would like more room for air to move around. Window on left side because I do have nicely lit parts in there. I need to put one or two (preferably 2) intake fans on the front. 1, 2, (3?) on top. One (or 2?) exhaust at the back.
TLDR: I use my LG HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GH24NSC0 fairly often, so I require a 5.25" drive bay. That is, unless there exists an external 5.25" CD-DVDRAM, USB? If so, then finding a decent, inexpensive case with excellent airflow shouldn't be very difficult.
I can do my shopping for a case. Anyone's suggestions for brand names or specific cases would be appreciated.
Thank you for your time.

(I plan on building another system soon and I have already picked this case out for that build, just waiting to get the extra funds to do it.)

External DVD writers are rather cheap ($25 where I live) and they allow for having a nicer case with fewer cables (SATA data, SATA power) and no grey parts (most DVD drives have a grey casing, usually ruins the looks). Would that do?
No need to go with a full tower, you don't have the parts for that, and going too big would make the thermals worse.
