Does anyone know of a full UI/gamepad mod for TES: Oblivion? I ask this because it's my favorite TES game, but I can't use a mouse, or type on a kyboard with my right hand. I have full control over my right thumb, although my reflexes in it are much slower than they used to be...it has a full range of motion, and my index finger can sit over the top button of a controller, and with a little bit of work, I can press the top button, or trigger. My left hand works normally. There are actually a… See More
few games I'm looking for full UI/controller support for:TES: Oblivion, TES: Morrowind and Dragon Age 1, just to name a few. If anyone comes across a mod for any of these games, I would be in your debt...and not one of those emulation mods either...those still call for too much keyboard and mouse usage.
On anither note, I tried the end of Mass Effect with an amazing controller/UI mod, just to see if I could beat the final boss on easy mode, and even though it was very difficult to move around, I was able to beat him rather quickly. I'm proud of myself.
It was just the opposite for me, I loved Daggerfall, Marrowind, and Oblivion on the pc, but when I started Skyrim and it was made with controllers in mind and wouldn't let me bind my usual keys, I stopped playing it in frustration after 5 minutes and never started it again.

BTW Oblivion is still one of my favorite Elder Scrolls games, while Skyrim looks absolutely stunning, and Morrowind has much more quests, Oblivion retains the best of both. I've been playing it for the last 2 months, not leaving a single stone unturned, and a house unpurchased.

I used Xpadder to map my Xbox controller to play Minecraft on PC, not ideal due to limitations of MC.

You will need to create a profile for the controller and then map each input. Xpadder has to run before you lunch the game. That means, don't drop the controller as you might call a function that could be unforgiven
You'll still be able to use the mouse and keyboard while it's active.

Have you checked Nexus Mods? I don't know if this is what you are looking for but I found these two on Nexus ::
1) www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/28902?
2) www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/46292?
Are these what you are looking for? Especially the second one?

I used to do it with the Logitech Game Profiler. It let me bind keyboard strokes to the controller. But unfortunately I don't think you can get it directly from Logitech anymore. Other than that, or something similar, the game simply doesn't support a game controller. Also, when I used the profiler, there was no way to operate the UI in the game inventory menu, since it was designed with only a mouse in mind.
