Sooo - should I really switch to a different CPU cooler? All the CPU coolers I see out there are big and pretty darn ugly. What's the point? Should I do Air or Liquid? I think my stock cooler is sufficient.

Depends on the temperatures of your cpu, if it runs hot easily or frequently, you should definitely consider an other CPU cooler. If you want to overclock it, it is a must-have. A cpu probably stays healthy longer on lower temperatures, but when your cpu doesn't get hot and is somewhat underused, than an other cooler might be something that you don't really profit from $/cpu-lifetime wise.
