We're excited to announce the launch of Low Latency streaming on BEAM.
This new feature is designed to reduce stream delays, bringing viewers closer to real-time interactions with their favorite streamer.
Starting now, streamers can enable Low Latency mode from their dashboard [www.beamstream.gg/studio/settings]. The setting will take effect on the NEXT stream, making the transition seamless. Similarly, if you need to disable it, the change will apply to your next stream.
For viewers, Low Latency will automatically activate on streams where the broadcaster has enabled it, provided your network conditions can support it. This ensures the best possible experience without any additional configurations needed.
IMPORTANT: We're currently rolling out the Low Latency feature only in select regions and will continue to work on expanding geographical coverage to ensure consistent low-latency performance globally.
With Low Latency enabled, you can expect stream delays as low as five seconds, with maximum delays around 12 seconds in less optimal conditions.
